companies holding digital assets on their balance sheets, known as DATs, are facing share price declines due to the importance of maintaining a Minimum Net Asset Value
Companies holding digital assets on their balance sheets face pressure due to declining share prices, emphasizing the need to maintain a Minimum Net Asset Value (MNAV)
According to Geoffrey Kendrick, head of research at Standard Chartered, companies holding digital assets on their balance sheets, called DATs, have seen share prices decline. Kendrick highlighted the importance of maintaining a Minimum Net Asset Value (MNAV) above 1 for DATs.
He suggested that the slowdown in the sector could present differentiation opportunities, particularly favoring DATs focused on Ethereum due to potential yield improvements. This could position Ethereum assets more positively than those linked to Bitcoin or Solana, lacking similar mechanisms. DATs collectively hold a significant portion of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana in circulation, impacting crypto demand dynamics.
