The Dubai Finance Department (DOF) signed an MOU with Crypto.com on May 12, 2025, allowing cryptographic payments for government services. Residents can pay for visa costs, licenses, and public services with Crypto via Dubai Pay. A pilot program later this year will start implementing the service. Crypto.com’s president, Mohammed Al Hakim, praised this as a major step for digital finance adoption. Hashkey Global Mena, following its VASP license via Vara de Dubai, launches in Dubai to provide crypto exchanges and broker services.
