Yearn Finance detailed the yETH exploit, revealing a breach in a stablecoin pool that allowed a thief to steal $9 million. Some funds have been recovered. The attack affected yETH but not v2 and v3 products. The attacker targeted a custom pool containing various tokens. Three stages of attack were outlined. Recovery efforts have so far reclaimed 857.49 pxETH, returning assets to depositors. A war room was convened swiftly after the breach. Governance rules indicate users are responsible for losses.
