The Pakistan Ministry of Finance has approved the formation of the Pakistan Digital Authority Authority (PDAA) to regulate blockchain-based financial infrastructure. The PDAA will oversee licenses, exchanges, portfolios, token platforms, and more. Federal Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stated the importance of regulating to lead in the industry, protect consumers, attract investments, and drive financial innovation. The PDAA will also handle tokenizing national assets, regulating Bitcoin mining, and fostering blockchain-based startup solutions.
