Stablecoin issuer Tether’s USDT on various blockchains is now recognized as an AFRT within Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). This designation permits ADGM-licensed companies to engage in regulated activities involving USDT on multiple blockchain networks. The move expands regulatory coverage for USDT beyond Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche, creating a multi-chain framework. Paolo Ardoino, Tether’s CEO, highlighted the significance of this milestone in advancing financial inclusion and innovation globally. Tether also recently invested in Ledn to support Bitcoin-backed credit markets.
