  • I thought it was time for me to remember on my side for those who wanted to know how we do on the Dutch side. My name is Jeff, founder of Ethereum and one of the three directors (alongside Vitalik and Gavin) of Ethereum ÐVThe development entity building Ethereum and all associated technology.

    In recent months, I was looking for an appropriate office space to accommodate the Amsterdam hub. Unfortunately, it takes more work than I had planned and I have nothing to show so far. I passed these tasks to my good friend and now colleague Maran. Maran will do everything he can to find the best place for AMS hub and the development of mist. Those who use the Ethereum programming language mutan You may want to switch to de facto snake or programming language that will soon be Solidity. I made the judicious decision to focus my attention on more urgent issues such as the development of the protocol and the browser. Maybe in the future, I will have time to resume its development.

    ÐV Amsterdam

    Lawyers finally, after 2 months, ceased to create the company here in Amsterdam (UGH, the Dutch and their bureaucracy eh) and we found a bank which is ready to accept us as their loyal customers (…). For the moment, we have some options for our office space and I will write about them as soon as I know something more concrete.

    The team

    It is time for the AMS team to have a good introduction. These guys do a good serious job!

    The first who joined the AMS team is Alex Van de Sande (aka Avsa). Alex has been a gifted UX engineer and he has been with us for a long time. It was just a matter of time before becoming an official member of the ðV team. Alex ensured the task of the development of the user interface and the UX expert and prototype the latest web browser3.

    The second that joined the team is Viktor Trón. Vik is a mad mathematics head and currently hacked the new DEVP2P and tests it rigorously. I have known Vik since the start of the project somewhere in January / February, he is a great guy and a real asset for this team.

    The third who joined the team is Felix Lange. Felix is an unconditional gopher (yay!) And the first thing he pointed out to me was that I had done a bad job by taking care of my routines and there were a lot of racing conditions, so kind of him (-; Felix was going to work on the Whisper implementation once the specification was formally finalized. Felix is a great star gopher and the ability to become a real dev.

    The fourth who joined the team is Daniel Nagy. Daniel has a story in crypto and security and his first tasks consists in creating a complete specification for our DHT implementation and its development.

    The last but certainly the least is Maran Hidskes. Maran has already participated in this team but in a completely different role. Maran worked on the protocol but after having generated a Cry, -Peeing, -Pooping Machine New member of his family, he decided to take leave. Now his main role is to take care of the intimidating task; The administration of ðV Amsterdam.

    Even if they are not part of anyone’s team, I like to thank Nick, Caktox and Joris for their continuous effort in the development of our Construction systems. I would also like to thank Nick specifically for having highlighted the inconsistencies between our implementations: Nick, you’re really a great pain in my ass (-;

    Ahead

    While we are walking towards the next episode of the proof of concept (POC-7), we still have a little work before us.

    Recently, I started to build a set of tools so that we can test Christoph (he is on the Berlin team) awesome test tests follows. Christoph put a huge amount of work in the development of an appropriate test combination for Ethereum protocol. I never knew that people could appreciate writing tests like you, you have my greatest respect.

    I also launched a javascript frame of the cross implementation called Ethereum.js. Ethereum.js quickly obtains the adoption of the rest of the ether pirates and is already used by the Go Websocket & JSON RPC implementation, C ++ JSON RPC implementation and NODE.JS. Ethereum.js is a real effort of the implementation team of the ðV cross.

    Our Polish partners of IMAPP (Paweł and Artur) finished their first implementation of the EVM implementation based on LLVM compiled by JIT and agreed to create a GO bridge so that the mist can benefit from the increase in the speed of Ethereum contracts mentioned earlier in Gav update.

    Finally, UX and MIST UX and UI refinement, our flagship consumer product and our new generation browser, continues at a rate. A first “ preview ” of the MIST interface can be downloaded here. It will be impossible to deliver this type of giant of a browser for the first version, but it will certainly be the final goal.

    Fin

    I will try to continue writing a blog article with updates concerning the mist, the protocol and ðV in general, so stay attentive!
